The Five Secrets of Very Persistent People
1. Promote self-compassion
Do you accept spending your life with someone who constantly criticizes you and makes you feel you are not good enough and worth nothing? Well, this is what most of us do to ourselves every day, so perhaps self-criticism is one of the main reasons for giving up.
It is incorrect to believe that if you are not harsh enough on yourself, you will not accomplish much. In fact, while self-discipline is essential, self-compassion is just as important or even more. Studies have shown that self-compassion helps us be more persistent and persistent, so persevering people respect themselves and promote self-compassion.
Try to stop self-criticism for one week and notice what happens. Either you'll feel better or get a lot done - possibly more than usual. Remember that we are all trying to do our best through the current level of awareness and personal growth, and blaming yourself will not help you, no matter how tempting or natural it may seem.

2. Expect the worst
When we set goals, it is clear that we want to achieve them. We envision ourselves achieving our goals and feel good about it. However, excessive optimism and unpredictability of the worst is often one of the biggest mistakes people make when working to achieve their goals. Before setting a goal for yourself, it is necessary to mentally prepare yourself for any challenge you are likely to face in the future.
Ask yourself: “What is the worst that can happen?” then predict the worst tenfold, take the time to create the worst-case scenarios in your mind, and better yet, write them down on paper, think about how to deal with them, and finally determine if you are fully prepared to get through them before giving up.
But how will you know it's time to give up? Once you mentally prepare yourself for harsh challenges, it will help you increase your ability to persevere, and you will not give up directly. Persistent people prepare for the worst while feeling optimistic.
3. Live the role of the victim
Most of us tend to have unrealistic expectations regarding goals. When we fail, we blame ourselves, believing we are not qualified enough or unlucky.
We enjoy playing the victim and telling ourselves and everyone around us how difficult it is to try, how disappointed we are, or how stupid we are, but what we often fail to realize is how much work it takes to reach what we want, and how much time it may take to reach the goal.
For example, it is unsurprising that new entrepreneurs work hard for two or three years to build their companies and fail after that. They may need several attempts before they eventually succeed or never flourish.
While it sounds somewhat frustrating, it helps you set the record straight and realize that you may need to take more action or continue to persevere before getting results. Persistent people do not play the role of the victim, and you should not do that.
4. Meditation Practice
Meditation has many benefits, one of which is to enhance your ability to focus on the task you are working on. By practicing meditation, you will learn to focus on the present moment.
We often dwell on the past or the future, and when we consider all the steps we must take to accomplish our objectives, we become easily perplexed. However, by learning to focus on the present moment, you will reduce stress and be less exhausted about all the things you have to do. As a result, you will increase your ability to persevere.
Persistent people focus on the task every time and get it done. Do you feel tired just thinking about what you have to do? That’s why I started practicing meditation today.
5. Daily stimulation
Author Zig Ziglar said: "People often say that motivation doesn't last, well, so does hygiene, so we recommend taking a shower daily. Reading, watching, or listening to motivational materials is a great way to determine the course of your day.
While listening to motivational materials, you will automatically start choosing some sentences you like that will become motivational phrases for you, and these phrases will help you persevere in difficult times.
Most battles we fight occur in our minds, so make sure you get your daily motivation to persevere in difficult times. When you feel the urge to give up, most people sense the same, and very persistent people learn to persevere when most people give up, which makes a big difference.
